History & Description:
Established in 1958 in Tongeren and held in Ghent since 1972, the festival is part of a series of events across Flanders. Initially focused on religious choral music, it expanded to include chamber, orchestral, contemporary music, as well as visual and performing arts.

The festival presents over 180 concerts featuring approximately 1,500 artists. It encompasses a wide range of musical genres, from classical to jazz and world music. A highlight is OdeGand, the festival’s opening event, featuring musical performances on the city’s canals, quays, and historic venues.
