I INTERNATIONAL OPERA SINGERS COMPETITION “RECITAR CANTANDO” – Odesa, Ukraine

History and description:

The Odesa National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre presents a new artistic project – the I International Opera Singers Competition “RECITAR CANTANDO” (“To act by singing”), which will be held for the first time in September 2025.

Features / Program:

The I International Opera Singers Competition RECITAR CANTANDO is a unique platform for opera singers from different countries, offering effective opportunities to present themselves, showcase their talent, establish creative connections, exchange professional experience, and open up prospects for professional growth.

Significance:

Preservation, development, and promotion of Ukrainian opera art: promoting the development and popularization of Ukrainian opera music on the international stage through the performance of works by Ukrainian composers and the promotion of national culture. Supporting the development of culture and art in Odesa and Ukraine; promoting the integration of national art into the global cultural space: emphasizing Ukraine’s significance on the world cultural map, expanding international connections, and exchanging experience among artists from different countries.
